Ip-Info.app is built to provide IP intelligence through secure API access, privacy-aware processing, and operational controls that reduce unnecessary data exposure.

Secure API access

API traffic is served over HTTPS. API keys should be treated as secrets, rotated when team access changes, and scoped to the environments where they are used. We provide account tools to manage keys and revoke access quickly when needed.

Data handling

Lookup requests use the IP address submitted by the customer to return geolocation, ASN, ISP, timezone, and network intelligence. Operational metadata may be retained where needed for billing, fraud prevention, debugging, abuse response, security monitoring, and reliability.

Operational controls

  • Access to production systems is limited to authorized personnel.
  • Code changes go through review before release.
  • Known dependency and application vulnerabilities are reviewed and patched based on severity.
  • Monitoring and rate limiting help protect the API from abuse and reliability issues.
  • Infrastructure changes are managed through repeatable configuration and release processes.

Account deletion

You can request removal of account data and API configuration. Some records may be retained for billing, legal, fraud prevention, or security reasons. Learn more in Delete Your Data.
